Booking, payment and what the warranty actually covers
If a job isn't urgent, how much notice does booking actually need?
A few days ahead usually secures the time slot you'd prefer, while anything that can't wait still gets fitted in the same day, so the calendar only matters for the non-urgent end of things.
Say a repair starts causing trouble again well after it was finished. What's the process then?
You simply call and explain what's changed, and the Lifetime Labour Warranty covers our own workmanship on that job, so a genuine fault gets put right without a fresh invoice appearing.
How is payment actually handled, and does it happen before or after the work's done?
Card, cash and payment plans are all available, and because the price is locked in writing before anything starts, settling up afterwards is just confirming a number you already agreed to.
The property's tenanted, not owner-occupied. Can work still proceed without the owner on site?
Yes, once whoever manages the property signs off on anything beyond a straightforward like-for-like repair, and we're glad to liaise directly with an agent or landlord on the quote.

Only the labour carries our lifetime cover, since a fault in how a job was done is squarely on us, while the parts fitted answer to their own separate manufacturer warranty terms.

What happens if a second, unrelated fault turns up once a plumber's already partway into a job?
Work pauses, you're told exactly what's been found, and that extra job gets its own separate price, so nothing beyond what you originally agreed to gets added without your say-so.
A water bill jumps for no obvious reason. Could that actually mean a hidden leak?
It's one of the more reliable warning signs, because a leak running inside a wall cavity or beneath a slab can continue for weeks without a single visible drop, so proper testing beats guessing.
Does plumbing work on an older house ever trigger a need for council sign-off?
Most repairs and straightforward like-for-like swaps don't, since standard plumbing code already covers them, though a full re-stump or a major drainage relocation sometimes does, and that gets flagged early.
Is there anything worth having ready before the plumber actually turns up?
Clear access to the problem area helps most, and knowing where the water meter and main shutoff sit is a bonus, though if you're not sure, just describe the issue and we'll locate it.
